Advent Tower Class at Just Bee Scrap'n

The "New" Heartland Paper class schedule is out, if you have not

is teaching classes this go around and is doing
her classes in both locations.

We moved the weekend up so we could make some CUTE halloween projects.

Also, with it being Fall Break for the state we get to have an extra day as well.

The youth workshop this month is on

Thursday, Oct. 13th from 4-7pm

The project this month is

a set of treat holders.

Two cute little pillow boxes

to fill full of treats.

Also a neat holder made from paper,

that holds a tube.

Fill the tube with your favorite treat.

You could give these treat holders

to a friend or

make them for yourself or your family.

Recipe for Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Don't throw those pumpkin seeds out.

Try this easy recipe to make a healthy snack.

Ingredients:

2 cups raw pumpkin seeds

Garlic salt

Tablespoon Melted butter

Sugar

Toss dried seeds in a bowl with melted butter and garlic salt. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 45 minutes in 300 degree oven or until golden brown. Remove from oven and while still warm sprinkle with a bit of sugar.

This weekend is August Honey Bee Workshops. I want to share two of the projects we are doing this weekend. The workshop is all day Friday and Saturday. So you come when it works for you.

The first are these wonderful "Happy Bithday" Blocks. In my opinion this is one of the most versitale block set we have ever done. One side is GIRL colors and the other side is BOY colors. You will also make a hat and paper cupcake to accompany each side. The cost of these blocks is only $26.00. SO, if you consider that you are get two sets really.... that is $13.00 a piece. Operation We R Grateful!

Only a few more days to donate to Operation We R Grateful. WE will have our drop box us until Wednesday Night at close.

In case you didn't catch the buzz on this project. The hive has partnered with one of our vendors and an organization called "Operation Write Home" (operationwritehome.org) . They, through people just like yourself, provide boxes of homemde cards to our service men and women. You donate the cards and they get them to the right place so that our soliders can send a card home without cost to them.

We have a drop box at the store or you can come in and make a free card to donate. If you would like to bring a few from home please fell free to do so. Please remember, NO glitter, it puts our soliders at risk.
